AI Resume Rewrite ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered resume tailoring service available at airesumerewrite.com. We are committed to protecting your personal data and handling it responsibly.

What data we collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide our service:
- Account data: your email address and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register.
- Resume content: the resume document you upload and the job description you provide when using the tool.
- Usage data: the number of rewrites you have used, your subscription status, and basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited).
- Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We store only a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription ID — we never see or store your card details.
How we use your data
- To create and manage your account.
- To process your resume and generate a tailored version using AI.
- To track your free rewrite usage and manage your subscription.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset) — we do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- To maintain the security and performance of the service.
How we process your resume
Your uploaded resume and job description are sent to OpenAI's API to generate your tailored resume. OpenAI processes this data under its own privacy policy and API usage terms. We do not use your resume content to train AI models.
Your resume file is stored temporarily on our servers to process your request and deliver the result. We do not sell, share, or use your resume content for any other purpose.
Data retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@airesumerewrite.com.
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services which may process your data:
- OpenAI — AI processing of your resume content.
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Google Analytics — anonymised website usage statistics.
- Brevo — transactional email delivery (e.g. password reset).
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised usage statistics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights

Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our servers. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
